Spectacular Winning Photos Of The 2018 Stenin Press Photo Contest
Contestants from South Africa and Spain have been named the winners of the 2018 Andrei Stenin Press Photo contest in the category Top News.
The winners of the Andrei Stenin photo contest were announced earlier today. Photographers from Belarus, Iraq, Spain, Israel and South Africa took home first place in the categories Top News, My Planet, Sports and Portrait.
The international photo contest was first organized in December 2014 in memory of Russian photojournalist Andrei Stenin. He was killed while on assignment in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine on August 6, 2014 after his car was shot at and burned on a highway. The photo contest aims to promote young photographers and attract public attention to photojournalism.

I’ve always found before and after photos from dog grooming to be really funny. Usually it doesn’t even look like it’s the same dog in each photo! I had the idea of shooting a photo series that highlighted this extreme transformation. Each dog went way beyond their normal grooming schedule to grow their hair long and shaggy for the shoot. There’s something so funny to me about seeing a dog so shaggy that they can’t even see! This Photographer Makes Hyper Realistic 3D Scene Of UFO Crash
Marc Trautmann is a creator of this project inspired by the secret areas that are protected by governments in many parts of the world. Particularly Mark was inspired by French philosopher Paul Virilio’s book ‘War and Cinema’ which is about the situation during the Cold War. Virilio described this phase of ‘the immaterial war of perception’ as the moment when the shooting area turns into the shooting location and the battlefield becomes a film set. “Painting Jersey City” offers a broad selection of new works from artist Doug Madill that focus primarily on the subject matter of day-to-day scenes within the environs of Jersey City, New Jersey. Encompassing street vistas, local landmarks, night scenes, and other recognizable haunts, the subject matter choices of painter Doug Madill are sourced primarily from his explorations of various Jersey City neighborhoods.
