Danish photographer Nicolai Howalt has crawled inside the wreckage of numerous car crashes and captured those final moments of impact. There is no gore, no mention of the drivers or details about how the accident or crash happened – yet each car featured has either been in a severe and potentially fatal accident. NEVERCREW (previously) is a swiss based artists duo composed by Christian Rebecchi & Pablo Togni. They work together since 1996. In the recent years NEVERCREW undertook a research that doesn’t aim at forcedly channeling reflections in a precise stylistic and formal way, but rather to find a new language that allows to follow them, deepen them and share them; and especially that it’s also a practical and visible demonstration of that. Working together since almost twenty years, Christian Rebecchi & Pablo Togni developed the issue of the comparison (the confrontation between two persons, between ideas, between forces) and at the same time, interacting in the public space as street artists, they extended this confrontation outside in a direct way, making this perennial dual “discussion” one of the hubs of their work. Spectacular Origami Lights By Umut Yamac
This is amazing! Created by a London-based architect and designer with Turkish heritage, Umut Yamac, this is the Perch Light family. The light was originally designed in 2014 as a limited edition of 20, but just recently Yamac created this graceful configuration called the Perch Light Family for Moooi, which launched at Salone del Mobile in Milan. The family of lights features six sculptural lamps of origami birds perched on branches – all made out of synthetic paper, brass, and steel. The best part? The birds on the branch swing when touched. Street Artist Built A Wall Around Donald Trump’s Hollywood Star
Hollywood sight-seers on the famous walk of fame were confronted with an unusual edition to Trump’s Famous Star. Los Angeles artist Plastic Jesus built a 6″ tall grey concrete wall around it. This Wedding Photographer Turns You Into A Miniature Person
In Thailand, there’s a wedding photography business that’s attracting quite a bit of attention. It’s called คนตัวเล็ก, which literally translates to “Small Person.” The photographer’s specialty is making couples look like miniature figures living in a giant world. Each of the photographer’s pictures is a composite. After photographing the clients, the couple is cut out of their background and inserted into a small scale scene.
