Schield Presents “The Exhibitionist”
A new photostory told from the hand of the photographer Diego Diaz Marin, to present the new collection autumn / winter jewelry brand Schield.
It is the story of a beautiful woman, very full of himself and suffers from a “mild” histrionic personality disorder, resulting in a compulsive need to show off, that will need to sneak into a museum and pretend to be the protagonist of a fashion shoot set in an artificial jungle. A frenzy that will soon be soothed by the arrival of security personnel of the museum, violently, the pull out of its lush glass case. Continue reading »
FEZ Amsterdam Launches Its First Collection
On Tuesday July 30th FEZ will present their first collection of leather bags in Amsterdam. Witzenhausen gallery is the place where FEZ will launch its first one hundred leather bags.
FEZ, a new brand in which art and craftsmanship come together, is named after the place where the leather comes from. FEZ combines the authenticity of Morocco with art from Amsterdam. This unique concept is reinforced by its exclusivity; each bag has a serial number. FEZ has brought two worlds together: traditional leather processing from Morocco and the creative influences of Amsterdam. Every year, a different artist from Amsterdam will make the lining. The inside of the FEZ f1 collection is decorated with drawings from illustrator Nathalie Otter. Especially for FEZ she made a series of ten male figures with animal heads. Continue reading »

Ladies from Uzbekistan Bring Japanese Emoticons to Life
Tokyo web planning company Nuuo showed a series of Japanese emoticons to models from an Uzbekistan model agency.
Nuuo only told them the bare minimum about what each emoticon meant and allowed the women to interpret the emoticons on their own. Japanese emoticons are slightly different from emoticons in other countries, and thus, the nuance of meaning might not be readily apparent. So while this Japanese emoticon m(_ _)m might look like a butt with wings, it’s actually the image of someone bowing on the ground. Continue reading »

To some plastic surgeons, a naturally stunning woman looks more like a work-in-progress. What does this somewhat terrifying reality say about the state of beauty in our culture? That’s what photographer Marc Erwin Babej wanted to explore in his new series, “Mask Of Perfection”. Babej worked with his close friend, plastic surgeon Maria LoTempio, to illustrate the difference between a woman’s natural beauty and the “correctable flaws” a plastic surgeon has been trained to see.
