Back in the day of January 1st 1976, Danny Finegood and friends climbed to the top of Mount Lee and used stones, rope and sheets to change the Hollywood sign into reading “Hollyweed”. This was done to celebrate that a new marijuana law had been implemented by the state of California. It changed the charge of possession of marijuana from a felony to a misdemeanor. Color Palettes From Famous Movies Show How Colors Set The Mood Of A Film

Color sets the tone and mood of a film before any of the actors have even uttered a word. Directors Lilly and Lana Wachowski used a green tint in The Matrix (1999) to create a mood palette that was suggestive of the early monochrome computer monitors. Yellow was used in Kill Bill (2003) to depict Uma Thurman’s character’s madness and instability. Romantic comedies use pastel shades like beige, pink and lilac. Sci-fi and cyborg films use shades of blue, grey and green. Teal and orange seem to be the trend in Hollywood nowadays, especially in movie adaptations of graphic novels and comic books. An Artist Has Created A Series Using Professional Make Up That Would React To The UV Light Of A Black Light
According to an artist Adriano Rodrigues: “For my final project for Photography, I created a series using professional make up that would react to the UV light of a black light. First off, I want to thank Sarah Luke for her patience as a model and Breeanna Nichols for her stellar work at applying professional grade make up on Sarah. This and formost was a group effort, we simply intended to make something that capured our imaginations and to shake up the concrete “boring” world. This was a one day process, took roughly 7 hours to create and photograph and an additional 6 hours of editing images. In 2011, an artist and activist named Megan Smith launched the Repeal Hyde Art Project. The Hyde Amendment is a little-known law that bans the government from using federal funds to cover abortion.
