Toy Retailer Hired A Designer To Create ‘Friends’ Barbie Dolls, And They Delivered
Over the years, Mattel’s famous Barbie dolls have been made as nurses, celebrities, supermodels, athletes and other inspiring figures. Surprisingly, one of the world’s most successful TV franchises ever, Friends, never had a Barbie treatment…. Until now!
The Toy Zone asked concept artist Margarita Zhitnik to try to imagine what Friends characters would look like if they were Barbie dolls, and she delivered just the thing. They’re loaded with clothes, props, and references from the most memorable scenes, and in my opinion, as one of the die-hard fans of the show, I think they turned out awesome. Let’s pray Mattel will heed our prayers and make it real someday!

Stunning Rare Photos Of The Emperor Nicholas II Fooling Around With His Friends In 1899
These photos cannot be called rare but still they are very cool to look at. They were taken in 1899 at Wolfsgarten castle not far from Darmstadt. On the photos are emperor Nicholas II, his spouse Alexandra Fedorovna and their friends – princess Ingeborg of Denmark, the Duchess of Darmstadt and prince Nicholas of Greece. As you may see nothing human was alien to the Russian arostocracy then. The images are more than a century old but the friendly and relaxed atmosphere featured on them is still felt very clearly. Indonesian Man Best Friends with 28 Stone Bengal Tiger
Mulan Jamilah, a 6-year-old Bengal tiger, kisses caretaker Abdullah Sholeh, 33, in the garden beside their home on January 20, 2014 in Malang, Indonesia. Abdullah Sholeh of Malang, Indonesia is an Islamic student who has become best friend and a full-time nanny to the tiger. Mulan’s owner, Noer Muhammad Sholeh, 51, asked Abdullah to take care of the tiger when it was a 3-month-old cub at Dilem Village, Kepanjen District, Malang, East Java. Abdullah Sholeh regularly sleeps, plays and fights with the huge tiger. The pair are so inseparable, he often shuns his own bed to sleep alongside the big cat in her enclosure. Mulan now weighs 178 kg, is three meters long including the tail and one meter high. For security reasons, they have had to install metal bars to separate them when they are together in the enclosure. Mulan is fed 6kg of chicken or goat meat twice a day. Orphaned Wombat Baby and Kangaroo Joey are Best Friends
Opposites can attract and Anzac a doe-eyed baby kangaroo has become best friends with Peggy, a tiny squint-eyed wombat. Their unlikely union developed after the pair – both orphans – shared a pouch at the Wildlife Kilmore Rescue Centre in Victoria, Australia. At just over five months old, Anzac was brought to the centre after being rescued in the Macedon Ranges. The joey is in the mother kangaroo’s pouch for about eight months, depending on the species, but Anzac was abandoned a few months before he was ready to be free. Continue reading »
