Rare ‘Flying Rainbow’ Spotted over Southern China

This ‘flying’ rainbow was spotted over Wanning City, in southern Chinese province of Hainan. The spectacular sight was first witnessed by a child on a fishing boat and later captured on camera by a local photographer. The ‘flying rainbow’ is created when light reflects off ice crystals in clouds, rather than water particles close to the Earth.
