Gaspar Camps I Junyent 1

Gaspar Camps i Junyent (1874–1942) was a renowned Spanish draughtsman, illustrator, and painter who was significantly influenced by modernism and advertising.

Known for his modernist decorations and vibrant forms, he published numerous drawings in the magazine Album Salón (1897-1908) and created advertising posters during his time in Paris. Camps exhibited at the Sala Parés in 1899, founded the magazine Pluma y Lápiz, and worked on the Ambos Mundos collection between 1901 and 1903. As the artistic director of the French advertising house Sirven, he often used his wife, Cristina Dotti, as a model, and was awarded several Palmes académiques by the French government in 1934.
