Meet Karin Hosono and Her Delicate and Humorous Cat Drawings

Karin Hosono is a Japanese artist born in 1998 in Aichi Prefecture, known for her unique and delicate depictions of cats.

She graduated from the design department at Tokyo University of the Arts and has experience in graphic design, advertising, and game character design. Hosono’s art focuses on stylized, carefully observed feline subjects, capturing their personalities with a distinctive touch that blends realism and charm. Her work has been exhibited in galleries such as REIJINSHA GALLERY in Tokyo, showcasing new series that explore memory and presence through intimate animal portrayals.
