Artist Paints Dreamy Guardians, Monkeys And Plant‑spirits In Soft Acrylics, Turning Canvases Into Little Safe Zones For Anxious Hearts

Ella May is a contemporary artist and illustrator who builds soft, surreal worlds with big‑eyed girls, monkeys, spirits and plants painted in acrylic, oil pastel and mixed media on canvas.

Her work often shows peaceful “guardians,” floating figures and dreamlike interiors filled with sprouts, blossoms and cosmic skies, using gentle colour, rounded shapes and cute details to talk about mental health, protection, vivid dreams and quiet self‑reflection. Alongside finished paintings like “The Guardian,” “Between Sprouts,” “Blossom Keeper” and small oil‑pastel pieces such as “Floral Drip,” she shares process videos, sketches and personal notes across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, positioning her art as a calm, comforting space online.
