Beautiful Visual Storytelling Blending Typography With Charming Children’s Book Aesthetics

Pierre-Emmanuel Lyet is a French illustrator, animator, and artistic director. He is widely recognized for a cross-disciplinary creative approach that seamlessly blends editorial illustration, children’s literature, and award-winning animated short films.

Lyet has directed several critically acclaimed animated shorts, including Parade (2009) and La Nuit américaine d’Angélique, which earned a César nomination for Best Animated Film in 2016. His unique typographic adaptation of the classic tale Pierre et le loup (Peter and the Wolf) garnered numerous international film festival awards, highlighting his innovative approach to visual storytelling. More recently, his expertise in motion design led him to provide the animation sequences for Marie Amachoukeli’s 2023 feature film Àma Gloria and the hybrid youth series Luz & les Sonidos.
