Stunning Urban Geometry And Poetic Solitude In The Architectural Photography Of Lars Hengstler

Lars Hengstler is a Frankfurt-based photographer and marketing executive who specializes in capturing local architecture, travel imagery, and striking urban geometry.

Hengstler describes his photographic style through three core pillars: “Light, Structure, and Symmetry”. Using a Sony A7 camera, he frequently shoots from low angles (“look up” photography) to highlight the mesmerizing, almost abstract patterns of modern glass facades, spiral staircases, and concrete brutalism. His compositions often feature a stark, minimalist aesthetic, using a solitary human subject against massive architectural backdrops to emphasize scale and the feeling of being “all alone in the big city”.
