This Guy Looks For Famous Movie Locations And Recreates Their Scenes

Phil Grishayev wondered what the film sets of his favorite movies looked like today… So he went to take photos to compare them to the original movies.

Film location from Sergio Leone's "Once Upon A Time in America" starring Robert De Niro, James Woods and Jennifer Connelly. This movie is an absolute masterpiece that blew my mind when I first saw it. Swipe right to see the clip. The iconic shot of Manhattan Bridge (also featured on the official poster) was one of the hardest I ever took. It's a very photogenic and busy place so I only had a 10min window in the early morning hours to get the shot (before all the tourists showed up with selfie sticks) + the cars were coming on constantly. 🙂 #filmlocation #80s #onceuponatimeinamerica #sergioleone #robertdeniro #jameswoods #jenniferconnelly #joepesci #burtyoung ##scottschutzmantiler #cinema #movies #manhattanbridge #brooklyn #dumbobrooklyn #revolve #fashionnova

There’s no doubt about it, this is an Instagram account worth following. Phil Grishayev’s hobby is to take photos of himself in front of famous film sets (from the 1950s to the present day), and the resulting images are really interesting.

Streets, public buildings, shops… the young producer living in Los Angeles passes his time looking for the exact locations from legendary scenes, and the result is dozens and dozens of snapshots published over the course of several months.
