Exploring Life, Death, Spirituality, and Pop Culture through Artworks of Gina Kiel
Gina Kiel is a talented artist based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa (Wellington, New Zealand) who uses her art to explore the intricacies of the human experience. Her work features strong feminine images that exude sensuality and are characterized by flowing lines, bold minimal compositions, and a psychedelic palette.
Kiel’s art reflects her passion for exploring a wide range of themes, including life, death, spirituality, and pop culture. Her pieces are a reflection of the diverse experiences and emotions that shape our lives, and her unique style helps to bring these ideas to life in a way that is both visually stunning and emotionally impactful.
One of the most impressive aspects of Kiel’s work is her ability to bring her art to life on a large scale. She can be found painting murals throughout Aotearoa and beyond, bringing her unique perspective to public spaces and creating a sense of vibrancy and life wherever she goes.
In addition to her public work, Kiel also takes on art commissions and illustrations from her home studio, working with clients both locally and internationally. Her art has been exhibited at group shows, and she also spends part of her time tattooing.
Kiel is currently collaborating with fellow Wellington-based artists Xoe Hall and Miriama Grace-Smith, collectively known as The Dream Girls Collective. Together, they are creating stunning works of art that are helping to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of contemporary art.
