Ferdi B. Dick’s Monumental Sculpture, “Embrace the Amazing Whale”
With his most recent piece at Zhan Jiang Garden City in China, South African artist Ferdi B Dick has once again elevated his art to a monumental scale. The enormous stainless steel sculpture “Embrace the Amazing Whale” shows a massive whale emerging from the water.

The artist used subtle references from inflatable tubes to create an impressive design that gives his 8-meter-high sculpture a buoyant quality. This new piece features all of Ferdi’s signature rounded patterns and graceful contours. The sculpture’s base features a cascading spray of water that not only adds movement but also amplifies its powerful presence as it rises from the earth.
