“Enchanted Whispers in the Moonlit Grove”: Folklore-Inspired Artworks of Fae and Forgotten Magic by C.M. Duffy

C.M. Duffy is a Seattle-based illustrator and concept artist known for her ethereal, folkloric illustrations that blend mythology, nature, and subtle horror elements into delicate, otherworldly scenes.

Drawing from her background in fine arts and digital painting, she creates commissioned work for book covers, games, and editorial clients, often featuring fae creatures, enchanted forests, and haunting female figures rendered in soft, glowing palettes with intricate details. Duffy’s style evokes a sense of quiet wonder and unease, influenced by fairy tales, Celtic lore, and personal storytelling, as seen in her popular pieces like “The Wild Hunt” and series on woodland spirits. She has exhibited at conventions such as LightBox Expo and sells prints and originals through her online shop, while sharing process sketches, tutorials, and fan art
