Artist Iosif Gkinis Turns Architecture Thinking Into Cinematic Speculative Worlds

Scifiscapes is the kind of project that feels less like an art page and more like a whole universe in progress. It’s built around futuristic, cinematic worldbuilding — neon, architecture, speculative cities, and those huge postcosmic environments that look like they arrived from another timeline.

The worlds feel carefully designed, but they also have atmosphere and story baked into them, so they land somewhere between concept art and science-fiction mythology. You can tell this comes from someone thinking like an architect as much as a visual artist: the spaces have structure, logic, and presence.

Iosif Gkinis, the creator behind Scifiscapes, works from a background in architecture and design management, and that comes through in the precision of the work. He’s also pushing the project beyond images, with tools like the Scifiscapes Style Mixer and a community around these futurist worlds. That makes the whole thing feel less like a gallery and more like an evolving design ecosystem.
