AI Artist Alexander Parnassus Turns Anime References and Chrome Aesthetics Into Glimpses of Unwritten Stories

Alexander Parnassus creates AI-generated imagery that brings anime references, chrome futurism, supernatural characters, and imagined nightlife into the same visual world. His recent projects include Chrome Runner, The Girl Who Fell Into the Future, A Night in Tokyo, and Presence of Evil — titles that suggest scenes from films or stories that exist only as images.

Parnassus presents his work as a succession of loosely connected scenarios rather than a single continuous narrative. Kiss Kiss Dead Dead introduces a vampire-themed direction; A Night at the Casino evokes an evening setting; and Dreams May Work sits alongside experiments in chrome and futuristic character imagery. The titles supply a premise without explaining the plot, leaving room for viewers to imagine what happened before or after the frame.

His references also reach into animation and graphic culture. A Logo Reel is tagged with Akira, movie posters, and film-title design, while a separate Silver Hawks series draws on another recognizable animation reference. These projects place character imagery beside experiments in the visual packaging of an imagined production.
