Design Studio Creates Sustainable Design That Does Not Hide Its Materials – It Lets Their Past Become Part of the Form

STANITEMS is a Paris-based experimental design studio founded by Stanislas Derrey, making sculptural furniture, collectible objects, and spatial works through 3D printing, material reuse, and hands-on prototyping. Its work treats discarded or “abandoned” matter as a starting point for new forms, combining sustainability with an unapologetically strange, contemporary object language.

STANITEMS does not approach furniture as a purely functional category. Tables, clocks, seating, and interior objects become tests of force, balance, texture, and structural behavior. The designs often feel halfway between domestic equipment, abstract sculpture, and artifacts from an imagined industrial culture
