Faces of Tibet
There are more than 10 ethnic groups living in the Tibet autonomous region. Ethnic groups living on the plateau not only keep traditions from generations past, but also face the modern way of life full of hope. China Daily photographer Kuang Linhua has captured these images of the remarkable lifestyles in the region.
Yagpe, 82, a practitioner of divination demonstrates an ancient ritual in her kitchen in Chab Nag village, Mainling county, in July. The Lhoba ethnic group believed these fortune tellers represented a divine link between the gods and humanity and could heal the sick. Escape Artist Anthony Martin Faces Coffin Skydive at 14,500 Feet
Escape artist Anthony Martin has survived being handcuffed, locked inside a coffin and then tossed out of an airplane. Mr. Martin pulled off the daring escape overnight in a skydive over Serena, Illinois and told Fox News he was “pretty confident” it was the best escape artist stunt of all times.

Things with Faces
Things with Faces (Pareidolia) are photographs of objects that resemble the appearance of an animal or face. Pareidolia is an optical illusion which involves identifying shapes in objects where they are not present. The psychological phenomenon often takes the form of seeing faces in inanimate objects where subtle facial characteristics are perceived. Former science professor Carl Sagan speculated that pareidolia evolved in humans as a survival mechanism to easily recognize other human faces.
