Cute Furry Character Illustrations by Renee French

Renee French is a painter, animator and author and illustrator of books, living and working in Australia. Her distinctive miniature graphite works often summon ‘cute’ creatures whose features are tweaked to the point where cuteness tips into something more menacing, morbidly humorous and yet poignant. She has had solo exhibitions in NYC, LA, Tokyo, Sydney and Melbourne, and her publications include Baby Bjornstrand, 2014 and Hagelbarger and That Nightmare Goat, 2013.
