This Artist Illustrates Her Life’s Quirks With A Hint Of Sarcasm
Giselle Dekel was born in Vienna, Austria, and grew up in Antwerp, Belgium. She had a passion for patterns and studied arts in high school and Textile Design at Shenkar College (Israel).
She dreamed of becoming a textile designer, but her dream was shattered by the lack of opportunities in that field. She settled for regular non-creative jobs, but felt depressed and unfulfilled. She missed having a creative outlet and expressing herself through art. After a long period of experimentation, she rediscovered her artistic spark and began to illustrate.
