Swiss Artist Simon Berger Crafts Ethereal Portraits from Shattered Glass

0

Swiss artist Simon Berger creates stunning glass portraits by transforming the act of shattering glass into an art form.

Originally a carpenter, Berger’s deep understanding of materials and tools enabled him to develop a method where he uses a hammer to carefully crack safety glass, turning it into detailed, ethereal portraits. His technique balances force and precision, as he crafts recognizable human likenesses from the chaos of cracked glass, redefining traditional portrait-making.
