Future Objects And Technical Aesthetics: The Experimental Prototypes Of Maya Prokhorova

Maya Prokhorova is the founder of Mayaprodesign, an authorial industrial design studio operating from Paris. A graduate of Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design (Saint Petersburg), she has won 9 Red Dot Awards, iF Design Awards, and CES Innovation Honors.

Prokhorova designs “objects for future functions” through experimental prototypes like the TA series (TA132, TA131, TA129, TA124). Her technical aesthetics prioritize emotional presence over immediate utility, creating visual worlds that expand industrial design. Process involves hand-sketching, rapid prototyping, and iterative refinement. Collections feature audio equipment concepts (TA108), modular objects, and non-production experiments.
