Years ago, we’ve first laid our eyes on the stunning photographs that Jimmy Nelson published in his book “Before They Pass Away” that gave us a look at over 30 vanishing tribes from all around the globe. From Mongolia to Indonesia, Jimmy spent weeks with each tribe to learn their culture and capture it from his point of view.

In 2018, Nelson published his second major project titled “Homage to Humanity”. He visited 34 indigenous cultures in five continents, revisiting some from his previous journey. While his first book was a collection of pictures, this time the photographer decided to expand and added travel journals, maps, local facts, and personal interviews, shifting the focus of his story from the objects he captures to the journey itself. In this larger-than-life mural, yarn adorns the entire wall of a building in the Lisbon district of Vila Franca de Xira, Portugal. A Soviet-Era Museum In Kyrgyzstan, Built Into The Side Of A Mountain Containing over 33,000 Archeological Artifacts

The National Historical and Archaeological Museum Complex Sulayman is a museum in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. It was established in 1949 as Osh Regional Museum. The present museum building was completed during the Soviet era in 1978 to celebrate the 3,000th anniversary of the city of Osh. It was carved inside the Sulayman Mountain, which is today the only Unesco World Heritage Site in Kyrgyzstan. The structure represents a glassed concrete arch that closes the entry to the cave. One Of The Oldest Diving Suits In Existence – Called Wanha Herra

The best-known item in Raahe Museum is “the Old Gentleman”, a diving suit from the early 18th century. This rarity was donated to the museum by Captain Leufstadius in 1860s.

The maker of the suit has mastered the latest achievements of the diving technology that made huge progress in the 18th century.
