Photographer Spends 12 Months Creating a ‘Never-Ending’ Panoramic Story
In the photography world, we’re pretty familiar with 52-week projects, although some of us have yet to ever start or complete one. Beamused Magazine wanted to encourage all artists to take up a 52-week challenge called an “endless book.” The premise is that artists create one page of their “book” per week, constructing them in such a way that one page leads to another for a seamless mega-panorama.

Creative still life photographer Dina Belenko decided to undertake the project, composing a giant, story-rich (and, sometimes, humorous) panorama over the course of twelve months. Continue reading »
A Photographer Took Pictures of Beautiful Women from 37 Countries

Have you or are you considering surgery to become more attractive? Have you tried a variety of expensive creams and masks to look fresher and younger for your partner or even just for yourself?
Millions of women worldwide opt for cosmetic surgery to enhance (or completely change) their appearance. Some women undergo hours, or a series of painful operations, and yet again tolerate days or weeks of post-operative pain to look their best to be beautiful- to look like that voluptuous woman in the cover of a magazine, or that pale, wide-eyed blonde on TV.

Cold Iceland Through The Lens Of The Photographer Tom Kondrat
As you look at the set of pictures created by Tom Kondrat during his travels in Iceland, the first thing that comes to mind is the word “loneliness.” These pictures lead you to believe that Iceland is a desolate expanse of icy wasteland. You can almost imagine the strong wind howling in your ears, as it chills you straight to the bone. And as you’re walking down so beaten path, you’re all alone, with not a human soul for miles in any direction. This may prove unbearable for some, yet others find comfort in such places. With no one there to bother them and distract them from their thoughts, they can finally be at peace. Continue reading »
Photographer Puts Everyday “Selfies” to Shame, Part 2
A photographer has shot this series of scenic selfies – scaling freezing mountain tops to snap himself in front of stunning scenery. Paul Zizkas (previously) breath-taking work features himself in front of beautiful backdrops such as shimmering lakes, snowy mountains and vibrant auroras. He has travelled to a number of different locations worldwide including Canada, New Zealand, Niue the South Pacific and French Polynesia. Explorer Paul, from Banff, Alberta, Canada, saw his selfies go viral early in 2014 – and has now unveiled his latest work. He said: I find that sometimes including a person in a landscape scene adds to the photograph – that it conveys a different story. Here: lake Minnewanka, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. Nat Geo Travel Contest Winners
First Place Winner: “Dig me river”. I was in Manaus/Amazon during the Brazilian Aquathlon (swimming and running) championship in. This river is called Rio Negro (Black River) due to water color. Rio Negro is the largest left tributary of the Amazon, the largest blackwater river in the world. While the name Rio Negro means Black River, its waters aren’t exactly black; they are similar in color to strong tea. The dark color comes from humic acid from incomplete breakdown of phenol. I photographed it from the water and my lens got completely wet, but there was so energy in this boys that I just didn’t worry about that. Location: Rio Negro, Ponta Negra Beach, Manaus, Amazon, Brazil. (Wagner Araujo/National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest) Continue reading »
