Artist David Szilagyi Reimagined Pokemon Characters With Nightmarish Results

Although Pokemon has made something of a comeback recently thanks to the hugely popular Pokemon Go app, for many of us the card and video game remains a fond childhood memory, making these creations from David Szilagyi even more unsettling.

A stark contrast to the Pokemon characters you likely remember, David has taken some of its most notable ones and turned them into monsters that wouldn’t look out of place in any horror story. Inspired by his passion for creating nightmare inducing artworks and surreal worlds David draws a lot of inspiration from his love of franchises such as Final Fantasy and Silent Hill.
