Sleeping Waters: Charlotte Bories Creates the Most Beautiful Underwater Portraits

Charlotte Bories is a french artist from Paris, now based in Bali (Indonesia). In 2008, she graduated with a master’s degree in Art at College of Fine Arts. Ten years later, she fell in love with underwater model photography.

For Charlotte, who has always been full of imagination, this medium was the perfect way to blur the lines between dreams and reality. She often combines underwater photography with digital tools to create the poetical and surreal pictures she has in mind. She draws her inspiration from myths, legends, fairy tales and Art History.

In 2020, she received the title of “ND Special Discovery of the Year” as the winner of the ND AWARDS international photography contest in the Special category, for her art series Sleeping Waters.
