Fantastic Bottle Cap Portraits by Jeffrey A. Meszaros
In 2008, a young bartender named Jeffrey A. Meszaro was struck by the vibrant colors he discarded with every beer bottle he opened.
He felt these bottle caps could become something unique but wasn’t sure what yet. Inspired to create a mosaic, Jeff dedicated the next six years to transforming discarded caps into a portrait of John Lennon. Through trial and error, he developed techniques to flatten and layer the caps, allowing his pieces to reveal intricate details up close. Since completing his first artwork in 2014, Jeff has crafted over 150 mosaics from more than 350,000 bottle caps, sharing his creations worldwide and inspiring others to reimagine single-use items as art.
