This is what happens when you have a boring ass job.
It all started with 36 cardboard boxes, a few rolls of packing tape and one big idea. For more than a year, systems administrator Mike Campadore had been stashing away iMac boxes whenever the university ordered new computers, noting that the slightly angled shape of the boxes could create a giant wheel if he collected enough of them. A Stunning Sculptural Outdoor Pavilion For A New Property Development In China
Marc Fornes & The Very Many designed a large-scale sculptural outdoor pavilion on the elevated plaza of the Suzhou Center in China, as part of the Jinji Lake Biennial. Named ‘Boolean Operator’, the installation has been crafted from white aluminum, with the design featuring a ‘porous shell’, that casts a delicate shadow. Archtector Svetozar Andreev Fuses Nature And Modernity To Create Mirrored Steel Form On Malta
In collaboration with Elena Britanishskaya, the architect Svetozar Andreev, proposes to transform Malta‘s collapsed ‘Azure Window’ into a steel exhibition space. Tieqa Żerqa, more popularly known as the Azure Window, was an icon of the Maltese islands, however, following a storm in march of 2017, the arch collapsed into the sea. The ‘Heart of Malta’ project plans to create a new visual landmark by creating a polygonal architectural form with mirrored steel faces, which will blend into the landscape and have the same size and proportions as the original limestone arch. This year we didn’t want to buy more crappy plastic Christmas decorations, so we decided to make our own. We collected all of our magazines and started folding them to turn them into paper cones. For every magazine, we came up with a theme, that fitted the identity of the magazine. We started with the DoubleD Christmas tree, made from a Playboy magazine.
