Auto Mechanics Strike A Pose With Hilarious Renaissance-Style Paintings

0

US-based photographer Freddy Fabris had always wanted to pay homage to the great Renaissance masters, but wasn’t sure how until he stumbled upon an old Midwest car shop. “The place screamed for something to be shot there,” Fabris wrote on Huffpost. From there it all started to fall in place, and soon Fabris had made a brilliant series of portraits with auto-mechanics reenacting famous Renaissance paintings.

“Translating painting into photography was a challenge I looked forward to,” Fabris said. “I wanted to respect the look and feel of the originals, but needed to come up with a conceptual twist that would create a new layer to the original.”
