Buford, Georgia-based artist Kevin Merck creates hyper-realistic zombie mugs that are scarier than Monday mornings. Cue sound effects: dun-dun-dun-dun! A teacher by day and a self-taught ceramicist by night, Merck used to sculpt horror-themed mugs only around Halloween.

“I love working on anything that is fantasy related. Creatures and monsters are so much fun because the designs are endless”, he told Examiner. “The zombie characters are probably my favorite overall because there are so many textures and color schemes to play with.”
