Dave Burke’s Superb Acid Art – Design You Trust

Dave Burke’s Superb Acid Art

Dave Burke is a Los Angeles-based artist who paints upbeat, psychedelic kitsch. Burke is inspired by everything related to pop culture: from gum stickers, Dr. Seuss books, and giant Japanese kaiju to fetish fashion, rockabilly, and custom cars.

By the way, Burke managed to work with Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, one of the founding fathers of custom culture in the U.S. – in the late nineties they even held several joint exhibitions.

Burke has painted many covers for a whole bunch of independent musicians: Skinny Puppy, Pigface, Tiger Army, Matthew Sweet, Juicehead, and he also designed the iconic “Fiend” logo for the horror-punk band The Misfits.
