Beautiful Photos of the Goggomobil Dart
The Goggomobil Dart, a microcar developed by Sydney-based Buckle Motors Pty Ltd., was an innovative vehicle that combined the chassis and mechanical components of the German Goggomobil microcar with an Australian-designed fibreglass body.
This impressive two-seater open sports car weighed in at an amazing 761 lb, and was powered by a rear-mounted two-stroke engine available in either 300 cc or 400 cc variants. With a small luggage compartment built into the nose, the Dart was a unique and stylish vehicle that sold 700 units in its two-year production run between 1959 and 1961. As these striking photos of the Goggomobil Dart show, it is a beautiful car that continues to be appreciated by automotive enthusiasts.
