Amazing Photos of the 1935 Sunbeam Twenty-Five ‘Woody’ Estate Car

In a bold challenge to its far pricier competitors, the Sunbeam Twenty-Five represented a pinnacle of British luxury motoring, delivering exceptional refinement and a top speed of 77 mph.

The flagship model boasted sophisticated engineering, featuring a smooth straight-six engine, a four-speed synchromesh gearbox, and superb coachwork that rivaled Bentley and Daimler. Its promising reign was cut short by financial hardship, however, with only 309 examples ever built before the company’s acquisition in 1935, cementing its status as a rare and brilliant automotive treasure.
