Worth Every Penny: Stuning Dollar Bill Artworks by Arthur J. Williams Jr.

[0

Arthur J. Williams Jr. was once a legendary counterfeiter from Chicago who famously replicated the untouchable 1996 $100 bill before prison shifted his path.

While incarcerated, he taught himself to paint, reimagining currency as art and channeling his obsession into a new creative medium. During the pandemic, he developed a unique “Space Material” that allowed him to sculpt crumpled dollar bills into hauntingly distorted sculptures. His shredded bill pieces echo his past, turning discarded fakes into raw, emotionally charged artworks that challenge our ideas of value and beauty.
