“A Little Lonely Cat in a Big Empty World”: Dreamlike Surrealist Paintings of Mitch

Mitch is a German multi-media artist born in Berlin in 1985. He is best known for his surreal feline figures, particularly black cats, which he places in a variety of imaginative and often minimalist settings.

Mitch describes himself as a “worldclassdaydreamer,” and his work reflects a unique blend of illustration, photography, and digital art. His art often plays with perception, placing the silhouette of a cat against vibrant, abstract backgrounds or within surreal landscapes.
