Derya Ozparlak is a Canadian artist who delves into the complexities of the human experience through her multidisciplinary artwork. Graduating with a BFA in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Anadolu University in Turkey, Ozparlak has showcased her work across Canada and internationally in countries such as Italy and Spain.

Among her most noteworthy pieces are metal sculptures of human figures lifted by balloons, which embody themes of liberation, happiness, and resilience. The balloons are adorned in vivid hues, while the figures are fixed in time, conveying a sensation of weightlessness and hopefulness.
